So I feel my allotted time in Taiwan is coming to a close. I have been seriously considering working as a teacher here, but the more I research the more I get more turned off by the idea. The system isn't standardized, there are so many things that are illegal, like teaching kindergarten. You know if i'm doing a job i want to do it right, or at least have the opportunity to do it right. This means I want training or a support system. Having your own curriculum isn't really enough, I don't think so anyway. while the illegality of somethings isn't really a big deal because 'everyone does it' and everyone knows about it, im not that comfortable with it honestly. I hear stories of ppl not getting paid on time or getting fined if they break their contract early etc. I want a job with the security that i would never be put in that kind of situation. I really didn't expect to love taiwan this much, which is why i have been really considering trying to teach, despite the sketchy-ness of it all.Today I've been thinking alot about what I want to do in life etc. I still don't know. But I really would like to travel and give myself some time to fun around before i go home and start my 'real' life. I'd like to give myself until 23/24 then go home. I want to travel around asia and that requires money. this has started me thinking about korea again. the idea of me only paying utilities and my own personal expenses and still take home a size-able chunk of money is really really intriguing. so yes, im back full circle, thinking what i thought back in aug/sept. Basically that after studying in taiwan i would go work in korea. so yes this is what has been on my mind today. who knows, it could all change in an hour.

COME HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Hm the only reason I wouldn't go teach in Korea is because it'd be like starting over 100% in the language department, and that would make me depressed hahaha. After studying kanji this long thinking about learning another language makes me hurt inside haha.
true, but i could also fulfill my dreams of learning korean! plus their writing system is based on phonetics that build off each other, its supposed to be easy to learn after that. word on the street anyways. but def. easier than learning kanji! lol
