Taiwan: Now or Later???

Today I got my acceptance letter from National Taiwan Normal University for the Mandarin Training Center that they have there. I'm really happy about that, especially since mom and I initially messed up the application because of the stupid bank statement stuff. Now, there are several problems/issues . I leave for Trinidad wed and don't come back til the 6th. If i go registration is August 20 and LATE registration is the 28th. Only now that i have the acceptance letter can i go get my visa, which takes about a week. The plane ticket is of course expensive about $1200-1300. The tuition for the school is also around $1000. They do not provide housing, which means i would need to find a place on my own for the most part. So many things to take care of! And not so much time. The good thing is that i can defer enrollment up to a year. This means i can handle all this kinda shit and start in the winter quarter which would be in the beginning of Dec or Jan. I don't think I can plan a serious move to Taiwan in three weeks. Also yesterday i signed up to take the GRE in September. so anyways there's more thinking to be done.

I think you should jump ship and go for it. Normally I would say defer enrollment til the winter...but then you are gonna kinda be in my boat. No job because no one wants to hire someone for 3 months and you'll just be sitting around and stressing over it for 3 more months than you need. You KNOW how you are...I have an idea...and also from my experience sitting and stewing on it will probably freak you out more. Taiwan is your soul. I have faith that it will work out if you just dropped everything and left not :-)
