Chinese New Year: Around Taiwan

Click the map to see the route we took kinda sorta.
So for CNY I ended up going around Taiwan, pretty cool I think.

1/24- Left Taipei and took the HSR(bullet-train/shinkansen) to Gaoxiong(Kaohsiuing)
1/25- Spend most the day in Gaoxiong and then take the bus to Kending
1/26-29th In Nanwan, the beach near Kending
1/29- Took the bus to a town called Fangliao and then the train to Taitung. Taitung sucks and we leave the same day taking the train to Hualien.
1/30- In Huanlien/Taroko Gorge area
1/31- Take the 4hr train ride back to Taipei!

What i really thought of Fei Fei; freshman Year 2004

Ok these are all entries from my first livejournal and all from first semester freshman year at st. mary's. i like how i didn't even use beckys name until that target day. i forgot to copy the dates for the first couple. I find looking back at this interesting and well kinda amusing.

well i finally got in touch with my roommate. and im glad for that she seems cool so that is good.

actually i only thought she seemed cool because she said she like the matrix

mm i like like my roommate, but thats about it. i get up and think what in the hell am i gonna do today?? go to class, avoid people, eat, talk to roommate, tv, sleep. well my roommates going home this weekend, because she thought i was going home this weekend. shes really going, im really staying. @dinner i felt like it was the first time i made human contact here at st marys. and that has put me in a better mood. that is all.

took a nap and thennn lunch: tacos with meat, sour cream, tomatoes, annnd CHEESE! ahh it was sooo good. i find myself eating more cheese here. hmmm but then it was ice cream. mint choclate chip, which i am still eating at this moment. soo yummy. now i am happier and a little hyper. oh god how i love food.

hahahaha right so my thing that lasted hmm 4 days is over. riight. so i had a boyfriend?. and now i don't and im alright with that. the whole lust thing, isn't so good, after a while. anyway thats some news for you. chew on that. i hadn't really eaten all week. i think it was because of that, but now im eating everything in sight. i am weird. saw a comedian tonight, and then watched newsies. goood times. im sleepy.

bring the drama man, saturday. lot's o fun. i probably brought some drama on myself. uh oh we'll see. drinking makes you say things that you didn't really want people to know. stir up trouble. it also makes you angry. and dance with pirates and ninjas. and some skelton guy who gives piggyback rides. and jack daniels isn't that bad? ohhh maybe. the greens. cool place i would like to live there with some cool people. there were some xmen and a whoopie cushion and many fun things. ohhhh and a hamburgular who gave out real hamburgers from mcdonalds. hahaha sooo awesome. palmer wants to talk to me today. i am scared. no im not. yes, yes maybe a little bit. my stomach will hurt for the rest of the day. eeep! ramblings for you! my birthday is soooooon. i am done drinking for a while. bye then ~11/1

This was hallogreens the night i kicked the cardboard box i thought palmer was in but it was really michelle. the pirate was casey and the ninja alex. also that skeleton guy? ron. HA HA ohhh freshman year..

It was my Birthday!!! and it was awesome. i went home and yay for family. then i saw my other family. yay! for that and coffee and apple pie and gifts.hmmm and sleeep. then there was chillaxing at the house with cake, brownies and cupcakes and chinese food. and then with the cards, gifts, and money. me like that. then back to stmarys. hmmm then i have wonderful friends who did not forget my birthday(unfortunately) and ponded me. it was very cold/muddy/squishy in there. and if anyone has visited stmarys you know how gross the water is. so i was carried out of my dorm by palmer, 2 alex's, and pablo and then thrown in the pond. ben missed my ponding haha he was angry about it, cuz he was almost the only person i told it was my birthday. haha ohh well. theen after a nice shower i went to molly's room and watched ben and palmer play mario bros on the nintendo. soo didn't do anywork last night. and skipped my first class this morning. im such a rebel. i have a quiz at 240 that i must study for, and a poly sci test 2morrow. eeeeeep! i also have a bruise on my leg and 3 cuts on my arm that i just found 2mins ago from the pond. im 18, fool.

me palmer and becky went to midnight breakfast. it was packed and people were crazy with the karoke and being slightly intoxicated, which you could be because the email they sent us just said you couldn't be overly intoxicated. anyway that was good times. so after making fun of becky and ben. and pretending we were solid snake and dinosaurs we came back to the room. and becky tried to spike palmers hair. that was interesting. nevertheless that didn't work and decided to try again after break. all the while i am feeling sicker and sicker. ben and sean came over to see palmers hair which didn't work out and left. ben is crazy. watched some silly mtv thing about dating someones mom. got in trouble for being loud. we have been under quiet hours since sunday night. palmer leaves at 2 and then i go to sleep. Wednesday: i wake up at 10:30 after planning to get up at 8 to study. i feel like shit. i make some tea and proceed to study. it is very hard to study when sick you know. i take some drugs. doesn't take too much time before im asleep again. i wake up feeling much better. i make soup and here i am. supposed to study with palmer, ben and becky in the fort for history. we'll see how that goes. and i still have to study for poly sci.

Love is a Battlefield.

In the upcoming weeks and months I will be fighting a epic battle for Taiwan's love. I had my interview today and it went well. I won't know for sure until February because of lunar new year. Although they made it sound like positions were tight and asked if need be would i want to be put on the waiting list. Sigh::i want to know now. I forgot this was a huge ass corporate company and my interviewer really has no say whether i'm hired or not. He said he sends the info off to the PTB (powers that be) and if you watched angel like me, well lets not get into it. Basically ‘THE MAN' decides if im functional enough to teach children. He did remind me that I could do visa runs if the timing doesn't work out. I do have that outbound ticket to Hong Kong still. Anyways if things don't pan out with this job ill be jumping through visa hoops and banging on buxiban doors to hire me before my extension is up.

Speaking of that, I have to go in the beg. of February to get my visa extended. Hopefully there are no problems there. If there is ill have to high-tail it out of here within a week. Sigh::Taiwan i'll be trying my best to stay by your side. I think we have waaay more drama scenarios to fulfill.

If teaching kids doesn't work apparently I could be a model. Because im very beautiful, or so a modeling agent told me today when he gave me his business card. I was wearing my unflattering 'interview' outfit i was sweaty and the pimple on my forehead looks like a third eye. He did ask for my number but after the jerry incident i decided just to give him my email. He also told me to call the office tomorrow. yeah, right.

though i would rather be a model than a teacher~~

on another note im making HOT DOGS tonight!! actually they're brats, but who cares! yummy american food! though im using some makeshift bread from the bakery as hot dog bread.

OH GAO! I went to DONQ last weekend and I went to a japanese grocery store and bought Moonlight cookies. but i guess its not that exciting because you will be in japan soon! wooooooooo! oh yeah i have another test to study and fail. FRACK ME!

Um, Final Fantasy Dissidia.
OMG I get to be Squall again! I didn't think this day would ever come.
Ok I just thought of this, Squall will have a voice! I'll get to hear him for the first time!(Leon doesn't really count, but David doing his voice is fine by me).
Me finding out about this so late is okay because it ties in with my feelings this week. I was seriously reminiscing of those long summer days playing this with Alex.

Anyways I'm excited, but the English version doesn't come out til July something. oh well.
Seriously Square-enix if you remake FF7 im going to be really pissed. Unless you remake 8 too, or at least don't make Cloud wear purple clothes.

Right, so I'm taking a break from studying and being a girl? I want these outfits in my life. Gun included. Though I do feel like I'm almost there. When Laura was here I could have bought my tank top, but I didn't even though she told me to. (Laura you are always right!) But you know i have to think about it for a month and a half. Anyways, it would be a tight present.

my ass hurts.

Today I went on a bike ride. We rode to Danshui which is 40 mins by metro from my house. My ass hurts, but spending all day on a bike will do that. I did enjoy myself though. yeah, i fell in love with taiwan. again.

if you click the map you can see; The S is where we started in the morning, we had to go there to pick up the bike i was borrowing. Then we had to ride in the street to get the connection to the bike path. I was terrified. Riding my bike next to huge buses is NOT cool.
On the way back I rode directly home which is the red dot line. It took about 3hours. yeah. im tired. riding along the river is cool though.
My map may not be exactly correct. But i think thats the jist of it.

A guy on a skateboard did smile at me though. hehehe

and i love my bathtub.

Shiny Happy People

These things lately have made me happy and slightly less stressed out. First is this new Japanese band called Girl Next Door, I like their beats. Plus, they are on avex trax.


Second is Koda Kumi. Yeah, I just can't stop loving her no matter how many boring ballads she puts out. Her next album is going to be called TRICK. love her. I'm also feeling her new singles Taboo, and umm leaked tracks(?); Driving and show girl. And she is on Feburary's Vivi which i've already purchased. woot!

Also today before class my teacher asked if i was mixed, and after that explanation she told me a lot of Taiwanese want to marry foreigners to have cute babies. I agreed the mixed babies are the cutest. BUT what I really wanted to say was 'Um hellz yeah! Why do you think I'm here?!'

My blood has officially turned to milk tea. I must have it every day.
