Taiwan does not have ALT programs. While i think i would be able to handle being a ALT with another teacher there, i would not like to deal with a whole class on my own. With training yes, i suppose it would be fine. But not my first choice.
i wish i had some basic knowledge of Japanese. While i think i could learn some fairly quickly, i just wish i knew it already. sigh. a skill level for Japanese should be anime-level(which would be the level just below basic).

Aloha
HawaiiSo after a 10+ hour flight or so we arrive in Oahu, Hawaii(where Waikiki beach is and was a real let down). Where we all get lei-d. We start out in room number 666! pretty scary. Anyway everyone is nice and friendly and i really love the mixed cultures. Plenty of Polynesians, Asians, and all types of food. Also they have itoen green tea everywhere, but this was the only island where i found pocari sweat and calpis. I'll be brief because thats just how i am and i would never be able to explain how gorgeous it is there. The weather is perfect, and the only way i feel you will understand how excited i was about it is: if i lived there i could straighten my hair everyday(if i wasn't swimming) and would not have to deal with frizz. It is 85 and sunny and low humidity. perfect!
stuff we did
-Pearl Harbor and Arizona memorial
-my first time snorkeling(now new fave hobby)
-drove around the island(gorgeous!)
-Manoa Falls hike & Diamond Head crater hike(i almost died)
maybe more posts and eventually more crap on facebook
